G1 Licensed Gas Fitter (313A)

We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly motivated Gas Fitter 1 with their Refrigeration license to join our team.  The primary duties of this will be responsible for assembling, installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, products and systems, primarily in the commercial market.  We specialize in rooftops units and want to continue to build on this as well as other HVAC areas.  This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual wanting to join an established company looking to expand and grow their client base.

The duties of this position:

• Represent Reliable in a professional, courteous and customer service oriented manner on each and every call
• Read, interpret, create and maintain drawings and specifications
• Install air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and related equipment and components
• Overhaul and service air conditioning, refrigeration, heating units and systems
• Repair, replace and adjust worn or broken parts on condensers, compressors, and water and vacuum pumps
• Repair and adjust valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating, refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems
• Install motors, thermostats, and humidistats
• Correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned apprentices
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
• Other job duties as assigned

Skills, Abilities and Experience:

• Current Gas Fitter 1 with Refrigeration Certificate of Qualification
• Minimum 5 years HVAC/R service and sales experience with demonstration of excellent customer service skills, organizational, time management and great communication skills
• Knowledge of rooftop units
• Knowledge and skill of tools, equipment, and materials and practices of the trade
• Knowledge of applicable HVAC/R codes, standards, and regulations
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade
• Preferred HRAI Certification for HVAC programs and designs
• A valid, clean, and current provincial Driver’s License
